Andrew Charles Long is a former Public Defender who worked for both the Mohave and Pima County
Public Defender’s Offices. As a Public Defender, he handled hundreds of criminal cases; both
misdemeanor and felony and successfully litigated several felony and misdemeanor trials as well as pre-
trial motions. Andrew now carries his passion for criminal law and defending his client’s rights during the
criminal process in his private criminal defense practice, Rising Phoenix Law Group.
Andrew served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 2004 to 2008 before utilizing his GI Bill to attend college. He graduated cum laude from Towson University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Andrew attended Arizona State University – Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law where he twice earned the William C. Pedrick Scholar award and completed the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office clinic. During law school, he was active in both veteran and homeless legal assistance organizations.
Andrew is a part of the Restore My Civil Rights team because he passionately believes a person is not
defined by their past greatest mistake, but by their perseverance and resolve to create a better future for
themselves and for their family.
